The mastermind behind Clara Mondshine is Walter Bachauer - Austrian-born impressario and radio personality. It looks like the three editions of Metamusik festival in Berlin, which he organized from to , were pretty legendary affairs.

Bridging global music with contemporary musical avantgarde, performance artists and theatre. There is an amazing documentary on the subject by Detlef Behrends covering the 3rd edition of the event and featuring footage of young Meredith Monk, Japanese koto players and chanting Tibetan monks.
