Mitch Seavey (born )[1] is an Americandog musher, who won the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race across the U.S. state of Alaska in , and At age 57, Seavey is the oldest person to win the Iditarod in (surpassing his record in at age 53).

His son, Dallas Seavey, won the , , , and Iditarod; his win made him the youngest winner ever.[2]

Seavey competed in his first Iditarod in , and has completed every race since In the race, he started in Seward, and completed the entire length of the Iditarod Trail. He won the Iditarod in 9 days, 12 hours, 20 minutes, and 22 seconds.
