The Love Song of J.

Alfred Prufrock is the poem (The first publication in Britain is [1] ) that marked the start of T. S. Eliot's career as one of the twentieth century's most influential poets.[2] The poem, also referred to simply as Prufrock,[3] is one of the most anthologized 20th century poems in the English language.[4] The poem takes the form of a dramatic monologue, and uses the "stream of consciousness" literary technique.[5]

Composition and publication

Composed mainly between February and July or August , the poem was first published in t
